Join Turun ITF Taekwon-Do club!

You can join as either a full member or as a passive member. Full members, who are over 15 years of age, have the right to vote in the club’s meetings. The membership fee is 20 € per calendar year or 10 € for memberships starting in the second half of the year. The membership fee is the same for both membership types.

To join as a member:

  1. Register as a member in MyClub:
    MyClub
  2. You will receive the bill for the membership fee via MyClub and email.
  3. The club’s board members will process your application during their next meeting.

MyClub is used for internal communication within the club as well as enrolling to classes and other training events such as camps.

License and Insurance

Turun ITF Taekwon-Do is a member of the Finnish ITF Taekwon-Do organisation (SITF). All members of the organisation must have a valid training license. To participate in any classes or events organised by the SITF or any of its member clubs, you must have purchased a license for the year. Events on top of regular training sessions can include belt exams, competitions, seminars, camps, and educational courses. All holders of an active license receive their own copies of the magazine Taekwon-Do Life. The training license costs 38€ for this period running from 1.1. – 31.12.2026.

New members should obtain a training license before attending their first camp or belt exam.

Club members are not insured through the club even if they have a training license and have paid the membership fee. Taekwon-Do is a relatively safe sport, and accidents rarely happen. However, due to the nature of the sport, accidents can be serious, and it is therefore recommended that you have appropriate insurance. When obtaining your insurance, you should check that the terms include cover for practising martial arts. Our club recommends OP’s Sporttiturva insurance, which you can obtain at the same time as purchasing your training license.

Lisence and insurance are bought via Suomisport.

Remember to choose the correct sport i.e. ITF Taekwon-Do. The organisation name is Suomen ITF Taekwondo ry and the club name is Turun ITF Taekwon-Do. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for any further help!
